Marketing veteran joins Ten Acre Marketing

Erin Dickson, with over 20 years of experience in agriculture and marketing, has joined Ten Acre marketing as senior vice president of strategy.half

“I am absolutely thrilled for Erin to come on board. We’ve working together in the past, and our skills and energies really complement each other,” said Leah Halverson, chief executive officer of the company. “She thinks strategically and creatively to find opportunities for success and has a passion to help others thrive. I’ve witnessed her take personal accountability for client work -- ensuring whatever the plan is, it’s first and foremost right for their business beyond anything else.”

Dickson started her marketing career working with a regional seed company and commodity marketing group. She later moved into agency work with AdFarm in Fargo, ND. There she was as an account manager working with clients in the agriculture developing and executing their strategic marketing plans. She recently was on the client side, as the brand manager at Alerus Financial in Grand Forks, ND, for the past six years.

“I’m a farm girl at heart and marketer in my brain. Agriculture is in my blood, and I’m ecstatic to get back to ag marketing, which really is my passion -- helping those who are involved in agriculture from the field to the plate, and strategically telling their story to help grow their business,” Dickson said. She also brings an agricultural economics degree and MBA for North Dakota State University to the table.

Halverson said she is really looking forward to the growth of Ten Acre Marketing with Dickson by her side. “We’re still a relatively new company, but our experience and network is really quite vast. We will really be able to cultivate true relationships and have a deep understanding of our client’s goals. Erin and I also have a similar mindset in how we work -- Our goal at the end of every single day is to always enjoy the process and appreciate the impact of our work.”

Ten Acre Marketing has clients that range from growers to ag real estate, to produce importers and farm equipment manufacturers. “The way that food gets from the field to the plate is amazing and complex. I know that we, as Ten Acre Marketing can really uplift those companies strategically in the market place and set them up for success,” said Dickson.

Dickson and her husband live on their family farm in Gilby, ND, and have three children.
