Sev-Rend adds new capabilities with capital investment

Sev-Rend has made a capital investment on a new 51-inch wide web press. The press was installed earlier in the summer of 2019 and is now fully operational.

The addition of this new press allows Sev-Rend to further service clients in key industries plus service new markets with high-quality packaging.

“Sev-Rend has always hung our hat on the fact that we supply superior packaging with some of the fastest lead times in the industry. The addition of another wide web press to our production floor helps to strengthen this fact along with giving us the state-of-the-art technology to work with,” said Rob Williams, chief executive officer of Sev-Rend. This new equipment acquisition continues with the theme of Sev-Rend’s investment strategy.

The new wide web press will allow Sev-Rend to further service flexible packaging product types, such as pouches and roll stock, that are extremely popular in the food packaging industry. “This new press allows Sev-Rend to keep pace with the ever-changing flexible packaging industry. This state-of-the-art technology adds some new capabilities that allow us to further service existing clients along with penetrating new markets,” said Greg Petermeyer, general manager of Sev-Rend.

Sev-Rend is a leading supplier of high performance packaging for Form-Fill-Seal operations and has been in the packaging business for over 25 years. The company's headquarters and manufacturing site is strategically located in Collinsville, IL, just outside of St. Louis, MO.
