Dan'l Mackey Almy addresses Southern Roots reception

roots5868NASHVILLE — Dan'l Mackey Almy, president and chief executive officer at DMA Solutions Inc., headquartered in Dallas, spoke to attendees of the Southern Roots reception Thursday afternoon, Sept. 6.

She led an interactive discussion "on why impactful communications is often a two-way street paved with mutual compromise — and how we can leverage the power of empathy to strengthen the industry by meeting people where they are," according to the Southeast Produce Council.

The reception was part of the council's Southern Innovations Organics & Foodservice Expo, held Sept. 6-8 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, here. Southern Roots is the council's leadership program for women in produce, chaired by SEPC board member Stephanie Hilton of the Tom Lange Co.
