JEFFREY ARNOLD joined Edinburg Citrus Association, based in Edinburg, TX, as an intern from Texas A&M in August, and he was recently promoted to a sales position.
In his new role at Edinburg Citrus, Mr. Arnold handles grapefruit and orange sales.
As a fifth-generation citrus grower, Mr. Arnold grew up helping his father and grandfather on the farm.
“My great, great grandfather came to the Rio Grande Valley from Kansas at the turn of the century and planted the first citrus orchard,” Mr. Arnold told The Produce News. “So, working in the citrus industry seemed like a natural choice for me.”
Mr. Arnold received his degree in agricultural leadership and development from Texas A&M University at College Station, TX.
He currently resides in McAllen, TX, and in his spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing along the Texas coast.
