Sunlight International, featuring Dulcich & Sons’ premium California table grapes, has been named as a finalist for the 2013 PMA Impact Awards.
Packaging is evaluated on the criteria of marketing, sustainability, consumer convenience, food safety and supply chain efficiency and functionality. The finalists will be announced on Oct. 18 at the Fresh Summit Convention in New Orleans. Sunlight International will be at the convention in Booth No. 1741.
The Incredible Grape Pumpkin Patch merchandising program features many unique and innovative elements. It features a self-standing, easy-to-rinse colander bag, from which the rest of the point-of-sale materials extend.
In addition to the colander bags, the full point-of-sale kit is made up of freestanding bins, display cards, danglers, posters and balloons. The campaign is Halloween-centric and is geared to capture the attention of adults, while at the same time appealing to children. The brightly colored packaging will be rolling into select stores soon, filled with delicious Dulcich & Sons premium table grapes.
“We are so excited to be considered as a finalist for the Impact Awards,” Nick Dulcich, company vice president, said in a press release. “Presenting our product in the most innovative ways has always been our goal, and rethinking how grapes are sold to the consumer is always top-of-mind for us. Being selected as a finalist reaffirms our efforts.”
This program now joins the ranks of its other successful marketing and merchandising programs, including Harvest Hobgoblin, Pretty Lady for the Holidays, Pretty Lady for the Summer, and the "Pretty Lady" brand.
