It looks like a small basketball, but don't dunk it. Native to Southeast Asia, the pummelo is the largest fruit in the citrus family. It's also one of the grandparents that all of today's better-known citrus fruits come from (the others being citron, Mandarin and papeda).
Oranges and grapefruit are naturally occurring hybrids between the pummelo and the Mandarin.
