The second annual PMA Tech Knowledge Symposium took place in Monterey, CA, May 11-13. More than 200 fresh produce and floral industry members convened to explore emerging technologies positioned to help the industry strengthen food safety, streamline business operations and meet the increasing challenge of feeding more people with fewer resources.
Attendees heard from venture capitalists in an effort to learn how to analyze new technology pitches and start-up and in-market AgTech companies who showcased robotics, drones, water solutions and more. Education sessions included topics like 3D printing, flavor and fragrance perceptions, The Internet of Everything (IoE), nanotechnology and omni-channel fulfillment.
