The Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Roots program for women in produce kicked off at the organization’s fall meeting in 2014 and continued with a Feb. 26 luncheon at the SEPC Southern Exposure expo in Orlando, FL at the Caribe Resort. Olympic gold medalist skier and Idaho farm girl Picabo Street was the keynote speaker and pumped up the room with her story of overcoming adversity to become a three-time Olympian and gold medal-winner.

Our Mary Blackmon caught up with Picabo and some of the movers and shakers who are changing the game for women in produce.
