Allison Nepveux joins United Fresh Produce Association

The United Fresh Produce Association in Washington has hired Allison Nepveux as FreshTEC exhibits manager. In her role at United Fresh, Nepveux is the main point of contact for everything related to exhibit space, business opportunities in the tech space of the show floor, and any information regarding United Fresh's new FreshTEC Conference held June 13 at the beginning of the expo.HeadshotAllison Nepveux

A graduate of Texas A&M University who earned a degree in agribusiness, Nepveux has always had a deep passion for agriculture. She was raised on a cattle ranch and served as president of the Texas Future Farmers Association. Following graduation, she worked on the French-Swiss border as a nanny, making special note to take the children to local farms, to volunteer at their schools for presentations about agriculture to teach them where their food originated.

Upon her return to the United States, Nepveux worked on a commodity training desk and also started her own professional development company geared toward high school and college-aged students. However, she was drawn to produce after developing a deep appreciation for the industry when she attended a convention during college.

"Allison is going to be a great addition to the United Fresh team as we look to build two branded expos at United Fresh," said John Toner, vice president of convention and industry collaboration for United Fresh. "With a special focus on building relationships and new opportunities for those companies that can help us deliver a fresher, better quality fresh foods and produce that the entire industry can capitalize on. This addition will help our industry prepare and build for the future smartly."

In her spare time, Nepveux likes to plan her next international adventures, with Norway and Japan currently at the top of her list. She also enjoys tracking down the best local restaurants and trying to complete the New York Times crossword puzzle.
