Glendale, WI-based Maglio & Co. welcomed fifth generation family member, PAUL MAGLIO to the company as a member of the buying team on June 3.
In his new role, Maglio’s responsibilities will include commodity buying and expand to include the company’s full scope of tomato items later this year.
Maglio is a recent graduate of Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in both finance and information systems. After spending many summers working for his father’s company, he is excited to accept a full-time position.
“For as far back as I can remember, my summers have been spent here at Maglio & Co. working in every area there was a need, from taking the garbage out and spreading mulch, to sales and production,” Maglio said in the company press release. “I have loved every minute and can’t imagine a different career path.”
Maglio recently played an instrumental role in the opening of Maglio Boston, the company’s newest regional distribution facility.
“Having my son join the company has been a real joy,” said his father Sam Maglio, president of Maglio & Co. “You don’t often hear of family businesses still going strong into their fifth generation of leadership. It is a legacy that I am proud to claim and one that we work hard at every day.”
