New office, staff in Nogales positions Baloian Farms to become a year-round pepper shipper

Baloian Farms, based in Fresno, CA, opened a new office in Nogales, AZ, that will be headed by industry veteran Luis Corella in a move toward becoming a year-round player in the pepper category.

Effective April 1, Mr. Corella was named to the new position created to oversee sales and procurement for Baloian's Mexico operations. His key duties will include grower relations and procurement of Baloian Farms Mexican products, but Luis-CorellaLuis Corellahe will also be assisting with sales.

A native of Nogales, AZ, Mr. Corella comes to Baloian Farms with years of experience in the produce industry, including sales and management roles with Crown Jewels and J-C Distributing.

"During the last year, we have made significant investments in our product lineup in an effort to become a year-round supplier in the pepper category," Jeremy Lane, sales manager for Baloian Farms, said in a press release. "The expansion of our Nogales operations and our commitment to our grower relationships in Mexico is a big part of those efforts. Luis's experience in the produce industry, particularly his grower relationships in Mexico, are an asset to our team."

"I have known many of the staff and family members of Baloian Farms for several years, and I have much respect for their close family ties and the integrity with which they approach business relationships and quality," Mr. Corella said in the press release. "I look forward to being a company that has its eye on the future with a plan for not just growth, but also category leadership."

Mr. Corella resides in Nogales, AZ with his wife and two children.
