Jackie Lacey AIFD, CFD named president of American Institute of Floral Designers

Jackie Lacey AIFD, CFD of the Floriology Institute in Jacksonville, FL was installed as the president of the prestigious American Institute of Floral Designers during the organization’s acclaimed 2019 National Symposium held in Las Vegas, NV, July 6–11.  He succeeds Frank Feysa AIFD, CFD of Garden Gate in Aurora, Ohio as the volunteer leader of the floral industry’s leading organization in design education.

PostAIFD-August2019.1Jackie Lacey AIFD, CFD of the Floriology Institute in Jacksonville, FL was installed as the president of the prestigious American Institute of Floral Designers during the organization’s acclaimed 2019 National Symposium held in Las Vegas, NV, July 6–11. Installed as AIFD’s President-Elect was David Shover AIFD, CFD of Karin’s Florist in Vienna, Va., Janet Black AIFD, CFD, PFCI, AAF of Designs by Janet Black AIFD in Bethel, ME will serve as Vice President. Todd Sweeden AIFD, CFD, AAF of Sweeden Florist in Russellville, Ark. was chosen as Secretary and Laura Parker AIFD, CFD of Fresh Start Floral in Holly, MI, will continue to serve as treasurer.

Louisa Lam AIFD, CFD of Choquitlam, BC will serve as the membership chairperson and Sandy Schroeck AIFD, CFD of Unlimited Containers in Eden Prairie, MN will take on the role as AIFD’s 2020 Symposium Coordinator for Symposium “Vision” taking place July 2–7, 2020 in Chicago, IL.

Each year, AIFD hosts its National Symposium in a different city. The Symposium is an opportunity for internationally acclaimed designers to gather together to share ideas, educational tips, network and advance the industry of floral design.

The 2020 National Symposium “Vision” will be held July 2–7 in Chicago, IL.
