Russian flower show Aug. 28-31 expected to draw 20,000 visitors

The Expo Flora Russia show Aug. 28-31 in the All-Russian Exhibition Centre in Moscow is paired this year with the Flowers IPM show and the result-two trade fairs on the same dates in one building, covering floriculture, gardening and landscaping in one event-is expected to increase attendance for both shows.

HPP Exhibitions, sponsors of Expo Flora Russia, predicted in mid-July in a news release that the show would draw 20,000 persons, up from 12,000 last year as a solo show. Exhibitors registered had passed the 300 mark, compared to 250 in 2012, and came from 28 countries. The show will have pavilions for Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Germany, Kenya and South Africa.

The traditional Moscow Flowers IPM show is a fixture among Russian trade shows, staged in the All-Russian Exhibition Centre for 20 years.

Expo Flora Russia debuted in 2011 in Moscow with 200 growers, breeders and suppliers exhibiting from 17 countries.
