Nevado Roses opens airport I Love Roses shop in Quito

Nevado Roses in Ecuador opened a new I Love Roses luxury rose shop in the new airport near Quito, Ecuador, in a ceremony on April 15. The shop in the tax-free departures area of the International Departures Hall in the newly inaugurated Mariscal Antonio Jose de Sucre International Airport will carry a variety of rose products, the company stated in a news release.

In addition to fresh roses in bunches, the shop will sell preserved roses, and products made with Nevado organic roses such as rose-flavored chocolate, rose tea, rose marmalade, rose vinegar, rose salt, rose energy bars, organic culinary rose petals and rose nougat, along with accessories and articles related to roses. Other airport I Love Roses shops are being considered, the news release noted.

At the opening ceremony, there were brief remarks by John Nevado, president of Nevado Roses. Mr. Nevado won the 2012 Innovation Pioneers Network’s One Wish Award for “exceptional ideas and outstanding actions” in the rose-farming industry.
