“We have invested in E. Armata’s future with facility acquisitions, renovations, technology upgrades and fleet additions,” said Armata. “Our newly renovated facility consists of more than 60,000 square feet of temperature controlled storage. We have a dedicated warehouse and repacking facility in a separate building at one end of the market which will organize our racking system to have every item a click away.”

“E. Armata is certified by Good Management Practices, commonly referred to as GMP, and HACCP, with a 100 percent superior rating,” said Armata. “Also, we are in full compliance with the City of New York’s sanitation laws. Our next step in our food safety initiatives is working toward SQF certification. Our inspectors are trained by U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing Service inspection standards.”

He pointed out that the company has also recently expanded its fleet of trucks to efficiently keep up with its growing customer base.

“All of our trucks are tracked for route optimization so our customers receive their orders when they need them,” he said. “These new upgrades enable us to offer a large variety of produce that can be picked up easier and more efficiently than ever — either at our Hunts Point facility, or delivered by our expansive fleet of trucks at our customers’ convenience.”

E. Armata’s long-standing and reliable stature is also attributed to the company’s focus on every detail of customer service.

“We are fully committed to our customers, growers and shippers and are always striving to better them and ourselves,” said Armata. “Following the completion of the total renovation of our warehouses, we have also renovated our salesroom and corporate offices with the latest technology, equipment and processes.”
