Full renovation of E. Armata’s newly acquired units at Hunts Point Terminal Produce Market completed

E. Armata Inc., located on the Hunts Point Terminal Market, is immersed in the highest level of valued traditions that include providing the highest quality product and services to its clients. The company is also proof that a century-old leading produce company housed in a decades old building can bring its facility up to near futuristic conditions. “In early August, we proudly finished the full renovation of newly acquired units on Row A at the Hunts Point Market,” said Paul Armata, a generational family member and vice president of the company. “It now houses our fruit department. Offering an extensive line of quality items under one roof makes it easier for our customers to shop from top to bottom. Customer service is key here at E Armata; it always has been and always will be our priority.”

Armata introduced a new team member to its staff at E Armata Inc. “Pedro Orama joined our team in July,” said Armata. “He is from Costa Rica, and is launching our new tropical division. Incorporated with our fruits, vegetables, potatoes, onions, tomatoes and extensive berry programs, the tropicals enhance our full-line of produce offerings.”

Armata works alongside his brother, Chris Armata, company president. They represent the third-generation of family members to oversee the company’s operations. Fourth-generation family members have also joined the staff in recent times. Chris Armata’s sons, Michael and Nick, work in sales and procurement, and his daughter, Chelsea, is the office manager.

Key team members of E. Armata will attend the New York Produce Show. Armata said the event gives the company the opportunity to connect with many new as well as long-time industry contacts.

Armata — in order to offer the freshest produce possible — we receive loads daily,” Armata said. “Upon arrival at our facility, produce is thoroughly checked by our own in-house quality control team to ensure that only the best product reaches our end users. We are fully committed to proper handling, whether the product is delivered or picked up, providing our customer base the freshest produce to fill their orders and grow their business.”
