At the New York Produce Show Red Sun Farms will be displaying its new holiday packaging for the upcoming season. “This packaging is a fun and festive way to celebrate the holidays while showcasing our fantastic and delicious Scarlet Pearl grape tomatoes and tricolor peppers,” said Jim DiMenna, president and chief executive officer of Kingsville, Ontario-based Red Sun Farms. “We look forward to sharing our outstanding line of Red Sun products, including our conventional, Artisan and organic offerings at the New York show. And we are happy to tell our story of growth and customer satisfaction to visitors to our booth.”red-sun-holidayscarlet-web

The company is seeing a constant increase in demand for its specialty line. “Most notably, this demand is for our Artisan cherries, which includes the Scarlet Pearls, along with Monarch Pearl and Chefs Collection tomatoes,” said DiMenna, “This is a true testament to the amazing quality and flavor of these tomatoes. We have also seen an increase in our organic line with our Canadian organic grape tomatoes already turning heads. These are a sweet grape tomato with an amazing burst of flavor. We expect it to be a hot item for 2017.”

Red Sun Farms has operations in Canada, the U.S., and in Mexico, enabling it to offer its products across North America year-round. The company has continued on its tremendous growth trend throughout the past several years, opening and expanding its Pharr, TX, and Dublin, VA facilities. DiMenna said it is always considering opportunities for future growth.

“The Red Sun Farms team continues to grow as we invest in sales and marketing, human resources, logistics, planning, quality control and operations,” noted. DiMenna. “And we are not done. We are always looking for the best and brightest to join our team. Our growth is due to our satisfied and loyal customer bank. To be the best in service, price and fill rates is still not enough for us. Our customers are seeking more from us, and our goal is to have the best in taste and flavor. We continue to strive to maintain this recognition.”

In the past year the company also expanded its operation in Wapakoneta, OH. Currently, 20 acres of produce are being grown and harvested at this new 26,000-square-foot greenhouse and distribution center. It is strategically located to serve mid-western customers. Its first harvest at the facility began in March.

“These locations also give us the opportunity for further expansion based on consumer demand for our line,” offered DiMenna. “We’re also seeing significant growth in our Mexican operations, and we have expanded the size of our Kingsville head office.”
