I Love Produce warms up for Fresh Summit at Pennsylvania State Foosball Championships

In advance of I Love Produce’s Foosball Challenge and foosball table raffle at the PMA Fresh Summit, the owners, employees and the foosball pros representing them at the convention, participated in the Pennsylvania State Foosball Championships held in Philadelphia Oct. 5-8.

The tournament is part of the International Foosball Promotions world tour, which consists of more than 20 events hosted in cities throughout the United States, including the World Foosball Championships with over $70,000 in prize money.thisNeil Millman and Jim Provost of I Love Produce flank foosball pros Kristin Grogan Todd Loffredo.

I Love Produce owners Neil Millman and Jim Provost entered the rookie doubles event and finished in second place out of 20 teams, and brothers Jorge Zamores and Manuel Zamores, managers in I Love Produce’s warehouse, competed in beginner doubles.

Provost’s and Millman’s run to the finals in rookie doubles involved several tight matches that went down to the last ball in their best-of-three game series.

“Playing foosball takes total focus, so it is a nice release from the daily challenge of the produce business, but Neil and I were both mentally drained after our the match.” Provost said. “I have a new-found appreciation for what our friends Kristin and Todd do on tour throughout the year!”

Todd Loffredo and Kristin Grogan have been top rated contenders on the professional foosball tour for several decades and are representing I Love Produce at its booth (No. 2001) during the PMA Fresh Summit in New Orleans. They both had exceptional results at the Pennsylvania Championships.

Loffredo had first place finishes in open doubles, handicapped singles and goalie wars. He also finished third in mixed-doubles and second in open singles.

Grogan had first place finishes in expert singles and woman’s doubles along with her third place finish with Loffredo in open mixed-doubles.

“It will be a treat for us to spend time in New Orleans after a successful tournament to represent I Love Produce and the produce industry for a few days,” said Loffredo. “The foosball tour is highly competitive and can be a grind, so just spending some low-key time teaching folks the ins-and-outs of our game will be fun for us. Plus we love produce too!”

Visitors to the I Love Produce exhibition booth will have a chance to test their foosball prowess by playing with these world champs, and to win a brand new professional foosball table in a drawing to be held at the end of the show.

Both as a team and as individual players, Loffredo and Grogan have represented the United States at the World Cup in Europe, and have set the bar high for competition among the top players in the world in the men’s, women’s and mixed divisions of table soccer.

Loffredo, considered to be among the greatest U.S. foosball players of all times, has earned more than 75 major titles in his remarkable career. In over four decades he has won 28 individual World Championships on five different tables.

MVP winner Grogan has won over 40 titles and numerous awards. She is considered one of the top goalies in the sport, and has achieved the ranking of the No. 1 goalie in the world.

The table to be showcased and given away at Fresh Summit is an American-made Warrior table, custom made with the I Love Produce logo emblazened on the table surface and cabinet.
