Southern Specialties announced that it is teaming with Northeast Produce Sales and Bob McGowan to further expand its presence in the New England area. The two companies will start working together by the end of January.
"Over the years Southern Specialties has developed some great relationships in New England," Daryl Johnston, vice president of sales for Southern Specialties, based in Pompano Beach, FL, said in a press release. "As our company grows, we are poised to continue expansion in this region. Bob and I have enjoyed a successful working relationship in the past. I have tremendous respect for him as a person and for his capabilities. I am extremely pleased to have this opportunity to work with him once again."
Southern Specialties markets its "Southern Selects" line of value-added specialty vegetables in a variety of formats. The company is also a leading grower and distributor of asparagus, French beans, sugar snap peas, berries and other produce.
