“We will be showcasing our Organic garlic line at our exhibition booth, number 450, at the New York Produce Show and Convention in December,” said Anthony DeAngelis, directorof the Northeast division for Christopher Ranch LLC, which is headquartered in Gilroy, CA. We have exhibited at the New York show every year since its inception, and we enjoy the show. It provides us with a particular opportunity to reach key customers in the Northeast.”

He noted that it will be interesting to see if the new timing for the show — in early December instead of early November — will affect attendance.

“This year, in addition to showing our key conventional garlic items for retail and foodservice applications, Christopher Ranch will also be featuring our organic garlic and specialty items at the New York Show,” said Mr. DeAngelis. “We want people to know that in addition to being the largest domestic grower for the conventional fresh garlic market, Christopher Ranch is also a CCOF-certified grower of organic garlic. This year, we had a great crop yield in our organic garlic, and are exploring opportunities to increase our organic garlic distribution.”

CCOF is a nonprofit membership based organic certification and trade association dedicated to promoting and supporting organic food and agriculture.

Mr. DeAngelis said that food safety has always been an important aspect of business at Christopher Ranch.

“This is because we deal with all facets of the industry, and we feel every step we take to ensure our products’ safety is a step taken for our customers and their consumers,” he said. “We continue to take pride in our food safety performance and audit procedures.”

Christopher Ranch is a third-generation, family-owned grower, packer and shipper. The company has been in the garlic business since 1956.

“Our goal is to always try to keep everyone ‘in good flavor,’ “ said Mr. DeAngelis.
